The CoLab Mission
Collaboration Laboratory was founded by a team of parents, educators and engineers who wanted more from the modern education system.
Our mission is to teach skills that aren't taught in schools: we nurture children's curiosity, foster collaboration, and cultivate their problem-solving abilities.
We're creating a community where kids can develop into compassionate and productive global citizens.
Having been an educator who did virtual preschool and worked in emergent curriculum contexts, I found it familiar and delightful.

- Ethics IslandConflict ResolutionEmpathy and PerspectivesEmbark on a thrilling tale of survival as survivors of a plane crash on Ethics Island.You are members of an Island Council that must discuss how to distribute washed-up resources fairly while navigating unique island challenges.Be ready for discussion, debates and collaborative decision-making.
- Galactic Gear MastersTeamwork DynamicsRisk AssessmentEmbark on an intergalactic quest as the gearmaster ground crew, navigating a model spaceship to identify the necessary tools the team will need to repair malfunctions caused by an unexpected debris field.
- Riddle RacersClarity and TimingRole Assignment and AdaptabilityStep forth into the Riddlemaster's Locked Labyrinth of Riddles! Divided among three paths, your team must work together to escape.Each room hides pieces to solve a riddle, but beware: only by uniting in the Huddle Hallways and merging your findings will you break the codes that seal the doors.
- Countdown ChallengeReflection and IterationTime ManagementCan you work together to beat the clock?Your team will have to assign a time to complete the 5 challenges, then complete them before the clock hits zero.Can you find Waldo, solve puzzles, and create new stories in 5…4…3…2…1?
